Charge the North is a research initiative managed by FleetCarma in partnership with the Government of Canada and 9 electric utility companies across the country to accelerate and enhance the nation’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This presentation will provide audience members with an overview of Charge the North, including scope, design, implementation, and will describe key findings from the program including: participant characteristics, charging profiles and load analysis for short-range and long-range plug-in vehicles and average loads at various utility system levels. Mark spends his days working in collaboration with electric utilities to design and implement residential EV load profiling and charging incentive programs to create smart and manageable load growth.
