WATERLOO, ON, November 16, 2012 — CrossChasm and FleetCarma are named winners of the prestigious Deloitte Technology Green 15TM Award. In its fifth year, the award recognizes 15 companies for leadership in creating major breakthroughs in the field of green technology. This is the second consecutive year that the company has been honoured with this award.
“The Deloitte Technology Green 15 Award winners deliver innovative solutions that promote an efficient use of the earth’s resources,” said Richard Lee, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, Deloitte. “CrossChasm, and its FleetCarma and MyCarma products, are outstanding examples of how the company is creating technology solutions that reduce environmental impacts while improving operational performance and productivity.”
CrossChasm Technologies’ CEO, Matt Stevens, credits the company’s ability to help vehicle purchasers quantify the real-world benefit of high-efficiency vehicles with the company’s ability to achieve early success in this segment. Stevens said, “We are honoured to be part of the Green 15 for the second year in a row. In the past 12 months we’ve successfully launched our FleetCarma Energy & Emissions and MyCarma products. These solutions will continue to help fleets and individuals pick vehicles that will save them the most money and emissions, and track those savings. It is an exciting time for our team and for the industry as a whole.”
CrossChasm Technologies has been consulting for major vehicle OEMs since 2004 on projects to develop hybrid and electric powertrains in Canada and the United States. Last year, the company launched a customizable total cost of ownership analysis toolkit for fleet operators considering plug-in electric vehicles and has been selling the system to firms from coast-to-coast. This year, the company moved quickly to be the sole provider in North America of electric vehicle monitoring hardware and software.
“We know that being first to market with our products is critical to our long-term growth,” added Stevens. “It also helps us iterate our products with the direct input of an enthusiastic client-base. Our goal is to find solutions that make it easy to quantify the value of, and justify the shift to, hybrid and electric vehicles for companies and individuals.”
