Announcing SmartCharge Georgia

Waterloo, Ontario: Geotab Energy (FleetCarma) is proud to announce the launch of SmartCharge Georgia, a new electric vehicle (EV) pilot program in partnership with Georgia Power, the state’s largest utility and the largest electric subsidiary of Southern Company. This one-year study will set out to better understand how EVs are driving and charging in Georgia, which currently has the sixth largest EV charging market in the country.

This program will collect charging data from enrolled participants using an easy-to-install telematic device. This anonymized data, which includes where and when EVs charge, will be analyzed to better understand how EVs impact their existing infrastructure and provide insights for future offers for EV customers.

Participants in this program will receive $25 for joining, $5 a month for continuing to participate and $25 for completing the full year. Participants will also get access to a data rich portal that provides information about their EV, such as driving efficiency, battery health, GHG emissions and more.
